Made in France by Michel Vaillant. These JC nails have a short neck (French neck) and include a tungsten pin in the nail head. Style JC1CW. The shank is between an E-3 or E-3 slim nail.

Widely used for trail riding to improve traction and prevent excessive wear of the shoe. Also commonly used in the first 2 nail holes of aluminum shoes to prevent toe wear. Can be used all the way around the shoe, or if preferred, switch out a couple of regular nails to improve grip.
